Draft Horse Behind the Movement
The Studio Mission
Draft Horse creates hand-drawn architectural artwork rooted in slow practice, intentional living, and enduring craft—celebrating place, tradition, and thoughtful design.
Hello, I’m Lauren. I am an aspiring licensed architect with a dual master’s in architecture and urban design, alongside a concentration in healthy cities. This space is a culmination of bringing to light architectural connections, ideas, and meaningful relationships through architecture, art, and objects.
Draft Horse begins with hand drawing—an intentional, unhurried way of practicing architecture. Living and working in an 1880 farmhouse once owned by a local architect, I connect the slow craft of architectural drawing with a lifestyle rooted in patience and care. This approach allows each work to move beyond representation, becoming a reflection of place, time, and purpose.
